Hi! My name is Ingrid Bernard, and I am a Catholic wife and homeschooling mother to 4 children who inspire me to be a holier person every day through my example for them. I am passionate about the Lord, my family, nature, reading, writing and art, especially painting! I graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Art from Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi, Texas, and my other schooling includes Sigtunaskolan, Sweden, Costa Rica Rainforest Outward Bound School, The Cooper Institute, Dallas, Texas, Miami International University of Art and Design, Miami, Florida and the schooling the Lord gives me in daily life through my experiences to live more fully for the Lord.
I am also the founder of Living Tabernacle. www.LivingTabernacle.com
Through Living Liturgically through the seasons and saints, we grow more connected to God, sometimes a difficult thing to achieve without all these wonderful traditions. In wanting to live my faith more fully and more woven into every part of our lives, I have found it a joy to come up with fresh new ways of Liturgical Living and its presentation.
I love to read spiritual books, and I read a lot! Years ago, I read “Discovering God Together, The guide to Raising Faithful Kids” by Dr. Gregory & Lisa Popcak. I read something that changed me forever that I had never really seen in writing before. I read that often we make living and practicing the faith ridged, and this turns kids…and anyone off. This made me rethink how to live the faith. Faith should be refreshing, joyful, loving, and capturing all those feelings of God our creator, purity, beauty and love. I realized that many of my feelings of living liturgically felt ridged at times, and I was so refreshed to get out of that and let my creativity and the talents God gave me be given back to him and others to glorify Him, and what a gift it has been for the family. I am so excited to share Liturgical Living with you, and so much more as I am always adding! God Bless.
