I often get asked what Homeschool curriculum I use. My husband and I discerned, as I think that is the most important to pray and discern what is best for your family, and do your research. It is important to know what your priorities as a family. I felt the Lord calling me to homeschool in 2017, and it was a strong calling, that felt like denying it was denying our Lord, despite family members and even my husband challenging me. It was a very difficult time. When I overcame those trials, my husband and I discerned together that the priorities were
1. Faith filled education. Faith at the center of all in everything that we do, and knowing that we can certainly provide that at home for them.
2. Provide a loving and leaning environment
3. Having a curriculum that is nationally accredited!
Accreditation is the recognition from an accrediting agency that an institution maintains a certain level of educational standards
We love knowing that they get a grade at the end of the year, and that every year they are learning what they should across the board. The school provides that, and I provide the fun woven into the faith and schooling.
4. Making sure that they get fun play time with other homeschoolers.
5. Surrounding ourselves with other faithful families that normalize and continue to inspire us to live holy lives in a world filled with so much unholiness.
6. Pray often and trust in God.
